The Three Little Pigs (Grades 1-2)
Retold by: Stephanie Comella
Illustrated by: John Portez
The three little pigs know winter is coming and that they must build houses to be warm and comfortable. Big brother and sister pig are lazy and want to do as little work as possible. They quickly build simple, flimsy shelters and run off to play. The youngest little pig decides he wants to build a big, strong house, not only to protect himself from the winter weather, but to be protected from the wolf he's heard exists in the forest. The other little pigs think their younger brother is silly and wasting his time; they don't even believe in the wolf! Does the wolf really exist? If he does, big brother and sister pig could be in for a nasty surprise.
