Roleplay Reader™ is a new brand designed for families and groups outside of a school setting. Although the term “reader’s theater” is well known in the educational sector by professionals and students alike, the average person has never heard of it!
So in our efforts to bring awareness to “roleplay reading” which is essentially the methodology of “reader’s theater”, we have created a brand that will expand to people everywhere. Through online reading apps, smart phone apps, and printed books at retail book stores, Roleplay Reader™ will pave the future for this fun, engaging and powerful method of reading and enjoying a story together.
A Playbook® Roleplay Reader™ is an enhanced story and book format designed to be read aloud by several readers in a family or group, like a play, without memorization, props, or a stage. Each reader is assigned a character role and reads from his or her own copy of the story while bringing the personality of the character alive with expression, meaning, and enthusiasm!
The unique and patented Playbook® format shows each character’s dialogue in a different color to help readers identify and take ownership of their roles, while at the same time providing balanced roles that are structured for readers of different ages and reading skills. Playbooks® are designed to be read again and again and even performed for an audience. This is an entertaining alternative to watching TV or playing video games.
